After quitting the grunge-metal outfit Full Devil Jacket in 2001 to pursue Christianity, vocalist Josh Brown seemed to disappear off the face of the Earth. That is, until late 2004 when he re-emerged with his new group, Day Of Fire and their self-titled debut album. Fans of his previous work will mostly be happy. His voice sounds better than ever, and this new band, although not as hard-hitting, compliments him pretty well. It’s more refined and more mainstream, but definitely a worthy listen.
